This analysis aims to identify and propose corrective solutions to the grammatical difficulties encountered by first-year students at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University during the 2024–2025 academic year. It is based on the observation that these students frequently and repeatedly make errors in verb tenses, articles, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement, which hinder the clarity of their written works. We hypothesize that mastering and applying the tools of metaoperational grammar can help improve their performance.
